COPIA will host the Napa Downtown Farmers Market in 2006. Tuesday market will run May 2 through October 31, and the Saturday market will run May 6 through October 28.
Both markets will be located in the South Parking Lot of COPIA. COPIA is closed Tuesdays, but open on Saturdays with the gardens open for shoppers to enjoy on both days.
Shoppers can begin their quest for the finest fresh fruits and vegetable at 7:30am on Tuesdays and 8:00am on Saturdays. Both markets close at 12-noon. The Napa Downtown Farmers Market also includes bakery selections and fresh-brewed coffee, along with weekly live entertainment. Non-profits groups, such as Napa’s Humane Society, Napa Valley Support Services, the Napa-Solano Commuter’s group, and Copia will be on hand to chat with visitors. Two of the most popular groups, Napa’s Master Gardeners and the City of Napa Water Department will also be in attendance.
July and August will include the “Children’s Story Hour." Each week a different storyteller is featured on Tuesdays and Saturdays offering up a mix of children’s classics and original compositions. The “Children’s Story Hour” is free to the public and takes place from 10:00am to 11:00am. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend, but children under seven should be accompanied by an adult.
